So Anime North 2008 just past, I only go to go on the sunday, but it was absolutely phenomenal, I had completely forgotten how positive all the people there are, I got so many "free hugs" and so many positive remarks about my costume. This was the first con I'd gone to since 2004 where I actually had a costume worth photographing, so now I'm desperately on the hunt for all pictures of myself in my costume. But I've so far only been able to find 2, possibly a third.

I was just relieved to finish our costumes in time, I was working on them right up until the morning of in the hotel room, which even if I didn't get those things finished, it wouldn't have been a disaster, the morning of I was just sewing armbands for my boyfriends Link costume because he had had some random allergic reaction and broke out in hives all over his forearms.

Over all I worked on my costume on and off for about a month, luckily I was able to find a perfect dress at Value village to go underneath, which saved me god only knows how much time. And I found a fabulous tutorial online on how to make armor, which was another dilemma I was facing, it was done by another Zelda cosplayer, her costume still completely blows mine out of the water though, she just has the look for it, I'm more impish than elfish I feel lol.

But the weekend was a blast, it's definately gotten me into the swing of cosplaying and con-going again.
